A new Lloyd Expressway lane closure is set for the coming week, according to Indiana Department of Transportation officials.

A temporary lane closure near Stockwell Road will begin on or after Monday and run through the afternoon of July 10, INDOT said in a news release.

The westbound lane closure will begin just east of the D-Partick Honda dealership on the Lloyd Expressway. Motorists using the left lane will need to slow down and merge into the center lane briefly, before merging back into the left lane and follow the construction barrels and signs.

INDOT encourages all motorists traveling through the area to slow down, observe signs through the work zone and utilize theֱֱto get through the work zone safely.

The closure is needed for utility work in advance of Lloyd4U construction at the intersection. One westbound lane will be closed while crews identify gas main depths. Drivers should expect delays during peak traffic times, INDOT said.

Between now and 2028, around 20 intersections will receive anything fromֱminor work to thorough overhauls as part of the Lloyd4U program.
